Los Angeles Wedding Photographers
Get Ready For Your Close Up at Your L.A. Wedding!

Los Angeles is a town bursting with American landmarks and world-famous for its razzle-dazzle.  With everybody’s eyes on L.A., it’s no surprise that it’s home to a great selection of amazing wedding photographers.  These are professionals who know how to capture beauty and bring out your inner glamour puss when all eyes will be on you.  But even in LA, not just any photographer will do, and that’s why we’re here… to help you find the right local wedding photographer for you.

Begin your wedding photographer search like you would any other: ask around for inside info.  It’s the perfect time to act like a Hollywood agent and multitask!  While hiring other vendors, ask if they can recommend a great wedding photographer.  It’s not uncommon for LA wedding professionals to run into each other over and over again while working, so they can help narrow your search.  And don’t forget your “supporting cast.”  Ask your locally married friends and family members who they hired.  You may as well benefit from their experience.

When we asked L.A. wedding photographers for their advice to brides, the first response was ‘start early.’  Many couples book their photographers 6 months to a year before their ceremony, so if you really want to find one that you “click” with it’s best to give yourself as much time as possible.

When you’re ready to begin your search visit the OurWeddingDay.com Los Angeles Local Vendor section for a wonderful, regularly updated list of the best local wedding photographers.

As you research and interview Los Angeles wedding photographers, talk to them about their style (photojournalistic, high fashion, traditional…) and compare it to the look you’re going for.  Most photographers can accommodate just about any style you’d like, but their answers will tell you a lot about how they work and their personality (the photographer you hire will also be “guest” at your wedding too so you should get along).

When you review their past work, make sure that you see a complete wedding, rather than a collection of shots from different weddings.  ‘Greatest hits’ collections simply don’t offer the accurate representation that a single album does!

The rates for L.A. wedding photographers are going to range a bit, but you should allocate 10% of your total budget to their services.  Expertise like theirs may not come cheap, but view it as an investment.  Your wedding album will be treasured for generations as a classic love story, with you its leading lady.
