Bride: Hi! I'm planning a June 2009 wedding, and I wanted to know when we should look for a ceremony and reception site.
OWD: June is the most popular month to get married. Many couples begin looking a year in advance for their sites.
Bride: We want to have the wedding and reception at the same venue. Do you think this is possible?
Bride: When should we book it?
OWD: If you see a place you both like and they have your date available, I would recommend booking it a year to nine months in advance. Many locations offer the ceremony and reception at the same site. There are usually different packages you can purchase to hold your ceremony and reception.
Bride: That makes sense. Are summer weddings usually more expensive then any other season?
OWD:
Yes, since June is the most in demand month for a wedding they can be more expensive. If you book in advance you will have time to compare prices. Also the day of the week can determine your total cost.
OWD:
Saturday is often the most expensive day to get married.
OWD: Sundays and Fridays are cheaper and weekdays are the cheapest.
Bride: Thank you so much. We have so much to do. I’m so excited though! You have helped me so much!
OWD:
I am happy to help!
