Bride: I don’t know if I need to choose a theme or not.

OWD: Many couples choose a wedding theme to help tie everything in together. Do you have any ideas in mind yet?

OWD: Not really.

OWD: Where are you getting married?

Bride: I live in Florida and the reception is going to be at a hotel here.

OWD: For your theme you can use your location or a common interest. You can even use colors as a theme.

OWD: Since your wedding will be in the summer and you live in Florida you can try a summer theme. Think of summer colors, music, the beach, etc.

Bride: I never thought about that. Now the color I had originally thought about was silver, but many people have suggested another one because silver and white don’t go together. What do you think?

OWD: You can use silver and white together. You may also want to bring in another color to brighten it up. You can think about a color that will match your ceremony and reception site, or you can use a color that your wedding party will be wearing.

Bride: They will be wearing yellow.

OWD: Yellow will go well with white and silver.

OWD: For example you can use yellow flowers for centerpieces to help break up the white and silver.

Bride: I like that thought. The bright yellow would bring out silver a little more. Plus I would love to use yellow roses.

OWD: Yes I think that would look beautiful too!
