If you’re planning to get married in the more temperate months of April through October, consider an outdoor wedding. Baltimore has beautiful outdoor gardens and parks. Not having to pay for room rental, will decrease your costs. Here are some outdoor locations in Baltimore to consider:

Federal Hill Park: Originally this historic park served as a lookout during the Civil War and the War of 1812. Now it's a scenic location for a beautiful public-area wedding.

The Cylburn Arboretum: Here you'll get a gorgeous garden backdrop roses, dahlias, daylilies and butterflies.

Sherwood Gardens: Especially delightful during April and May, plan for your wedding to take place when over 80,000 tulips are in bloom.

Remember that both private and public parks may require fees and licensing in order to secure the location.

For less expensive indoor facilities, consider having both the wedding and reception at the same place. Churches, firehouses, community halls or locations like the local American Legion building can be rented for less than a hotel or banquet room.
