Wedding Reception Hot Spots in San Antonio
Anyone who ever said San Antonio was just a minor Texas city never checked out these fab wedding and reception sites! You and your spouse can live it up in style, class, and Texas charm.
Not only is the Weston Centre San Antonio’s tallest office building, it’s home to some of the most fantastic wedding of celebrations. You can hold an affair along the famous River Walk, or live it up in the building’s Grand Lobby. New to the space is the River Pavilion, a glassed-in room with 360 degree views. Seated dinner or cocktail reception is up to you, and you can arrange to have guests arrive by barge, trolley, limo, even horse-drawn carriage. In addition, the Weston works with the city’s top caterers and vendors.
For a real Country and Western experience, hold your affair at Cowboys Dancehall, a 70,000-square-foot entertainment complex. It holds up to 3,500 guests, and has two dance floors, an indoor rodeo arena (rope that husband of yours once and for all!), and theater screens for those kissing close-ups. The alcohol is provided by the site, as is clean-up, and you supply the caterers. A kitchen is on-site for prep work. There are dressing rooms for bride and groom, and a staff is provided for all your non-catering needs.
Want a place where the on-site parties are just the beginning? Try the Hyatt Regency Country Resort and Spa, a 200-acre wooded resort. Not only is the hotel directly across from Sea World of Texas (now there’s a place for a bachelorette party), it’s 15 minutes from Six Flags Fiesta Theme Park (he can have the bachelor party there), and approximately 20 minutes from the Alamo. Should you need to relax, there’s a championship golf course and world-class spa. Catering is either provided or supplied by you, and you can use the hotel’s bar supplies or provide your own liquor.
For that touch of Texas class, you can’t go wrong with the Fairmount, downtown. The hotel has been restored to its original turn-of-the-century Victorian charm, with four-poster canopy beds and a classic courtyard (a great place for that chic engagement party). French and continental cuisine is served in the award-winning restaurant, and you’re just a boot’s throw from the Riverwalk and the Alamo, not to mention shopping galore. Guests will be pleased to know you’re also just minutes from the airport. Once again, catering is either on-site or brought in by you, ditto the alcohol. Valet parking, dressing rooms, linens and silverware…you’re going to remember the Fairmount.
