Las Vegas Wedding Dress Tips

Your Gown Must Keep Up with Sin City

Getting married in Las Vegas? You need a dress you can move in and fun, functional shoes. Unless you’re having a big, traditional wedding, your Las Vegas wedding dress needs to be able to keep up with you on your big night. Here are some tips for great Las Vegas wedding dress styles:

  • Avoid long trains. You probably won’t have a big handful of attendants around to help you with your gown. Skip elaborate trains and heavy skirts. Unless you want to teach your fiancé how to bustle your skirt, don’t wear a dress that requires any sort of bustling.
  • Shop for a short dress. Chances are, you’re going to be on the move when you get married in Las Vegas. Most couples hit the town after the ceremony. Be prepared to get in an out of a car or limo easily and into restrooms without assistance. Your best bet is a tea length or ballet length gown.
  • Wear comfortable shoes. Feel free to pose for wedding photos and walk down the aisle in a killer pair of heels. But after that, switch to comfortable flats or decorate a pair of white tennis shoes with ribbons and glitter and pearls.
  • Buy two dresses. If you’re completely set on wearing an elaborate, traditional wedding dress for your ceremony and reception, consider changing into a second dress afterward when you and your new husband hit the Vegas strip.
