Los Cabos couldn’t be more perfect for all the city action or beachside relaxation you could possibly ask for. This Mexican hotspot is a dramatic destination where striking natural beauty meets a bustling resort area. A stunning backdrop of desert and mountains contrasts beautifully with colorful, historic Mexican buildings, golden beaches, azure seas, and modern resorts.

Los Cabos is split into 3 areas. A beautiful, quiet stretch of beachfront, called the Corridor, sits in between the traditional 200-year-old town of San José del Cabo on the east and the vibrant, active town of Cabo San Lucas to the west. If you’re looking to get your groove on, mix with a young, hip crowd, and enjoy nonstop nightlife action, Cabo San Lucas is the place to be. On the other hand, if top-notch surfing, lying on a beach with a margarita in hand, or enjoying the ocean with any number of exciting watersports is more your style, you’ll want to head to San José del Cabo.

Here are a few things you’ll want to check out in Los Cabos:

  • Land’s End: View staggering rock formations and marvel at El Arco, the famous Baja Peninsula’s landmark arch, and see where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
  • Lovers Beach: You’ll find this hidden, remote inlet at Land’s End. It’s only accessible by boat, so take a water taxi to this beautiful strip of paradise.
  • Whale Watching: If you’re coming to Los Cabos in the months of December through March, you’ll want to reserve a whale-watching tour, since that is when the grey whales migrate during the winter to give birth to their young.
  • Golf: Los Cabos is a championship golfing hotspot, so if your dream is to tee of on one of Mexico’s most magnificent courses, you’re sure to find it here.
  • Dune Buggies: Get excited for tons of fun and exploring with a dune buggy tour throughout the rugged Los Cabos landscape.

Honeymooner

Have you actually read that somewhere? That is where we are wanting to go & I've googled daily for anything saying that it is unsafe but haven't found anything. We hve 3 months to go until our wedding & i don't want to wait until the last minute to book but also at the same time I don't want to be locked in to somewhere that may or may not be safe. We're trying to avoid the gulf spill & hurricane season, so Cabo is our best option.

Unsafe

Many security reports are saying that Mexico is very unsafe for American travelers. There have been MANY kidnapping of people from resorts-- they are targeting couples after scouting them out while undercover, then kidnapping them as soon as they leave the resorts and executing them for political reasons. I would NOT recommend going here! (which makes me sad, because we wanted to honeymoon there ourselves!) =(
