Do's and Don'ts of Wedding Make Up

Everyone will be noticing how tan you are, but they will be distracted from seeing the details of your dress, your eyes, your wedding make up, and your hair. Also, getting too much sun runs the risk of sunburn, causing redness and peeling.

  • Do lightly use bronzing powder. Make sure that your wedding makeup artist knows how to apply a natural shade for your skin tone. You want to have a warm and healthy glow, but the last thing you want is streaks or guests to be distracted by how much bronzer you are wearing.

  • Do use a light dusting of powder to lock in your foundation and to avoid shine.

  • Do not overdo the powder as this will leave your skin looking cake-like, as if you are wearing a mask.

  • Do glean from a few wedding fashion trends, such as smoky eyes with nude lips, or cream blushes. But go with trendy looks only if they are flattering on you.

  • Do not go overboard with shimmer or glitter. Especially for eyeliner, go with classic colors like blacks, browns or grays.

  • Do consider using fake eyelashes. The key is choosing high-quality lashes that look natural. Your wedding make up artist may have some suggestions.

  • Do not put on too much mascara, as this will cause excessive clumps
