Common Sense Wedding Diets

Increase Fruits & Veggies, Decrease Meat & Sugar

Once you get engaged, you are typically flooded with a deluge of online wedding diets that pop up in your inbox and on social networking sites. Most of these diets are simply trying to sell you a product and can be easily discredited. Here are a few practical things you can do to lose weight before your wedding day:

Eat more fruits and vegetables.
The one thing that all diet experts agree on is the importance of green, leafy vegetables. No one can deny their value in protecting against disease and helping people manage their weight. Vegetables fill you up, leaving less room for sugary foods and other forms of empty, excess calories. Fruit is the best way to go when you are hit with a sweet tooth.

Eat fewer animal products.
The idea that you need a ton of protein to manage your weight is actually a myth. If you are eating a healthy amount of vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, you will naturally be getting enough protein. Limit dairy that contains a lot of saturated fat, such as whole milk, ice cream, cheese, and baked goods that are packed with butter and sugar.

Reduce your sugar intake.
Also, try to eat three square meals a day, and if you really need a snack, have fruits and vegetables. You should not go hungry, but you should not overfeed yourself either. And if you get bored, try taking a walk instead of paying a personal trainer for an expensive wedding workout.
