Bride:
My wedding is in 2009, so I’m not really sure where to start and when.
OWD: It usually takes about nine months to a year to plan a wedding.
Bride:
I see.
Bride:
There is not much for me to do right now.
Bride:
I have my date at my church.
OWD: You should first start by choosing a realistic budget.
OWD: You can research vendors.
Bride:
I want to attempt $5,000 to $7,000. I don’t want anything really fancy except my dress and his tux.
OWD: David's Bridal has some great gowns.
Bride:
How would you suggest to research local vendors? What’s the best way to find information, prices etc.
Bride:
I’ve looked over David’s Bridal’s web site many times. I have a few picked out I want to try on.
OWD: You can try this link...
OWD: http://www.ourweddingday.com/wedding-local-resources.aspx
OWD: You can also use your local yellow pages to find vendors.
OWD: When it comes to bridal gowns you are better off going into the store and trying them on. Just because if it looks good in the picture, it doesn't mean it will do anything for you.
Bride:
Yes, I agree there. I just need some free time! Maybe during Christmas break.
Bride:
What do you think an average cost would be for catering? I just want a simple buffet.
OWD: : It depends on the location, the types of food you would like in the buffet, the number of guests, etc. I suggest you call different caterers and see what they offer.
Bride:
I think I will.
Bride:
Thanks for chatting! I will definitely be back with questions.
OWD: : We look forward to hearing from you in the future.
