Bride: I like the color brown a lot, and I was just wondering what you think about shades of brown on dresses.

Bride: Would two types of brown look good together, or should I just stick with one?

OWD: You can use two types of brown, but I would also recommend using another color.

OWD: Some other colors that look nice with brown include blue, pink and yellow.

Bride: Where would I use them? On the dresses, in flowers or something else?

Bride: The other colors I mean.

OWD: You can use these colors in the dresses by tying a sash around the dress with the color you choose or you can keep the gown all one color and use the colors in the bouquets.

OWD: Ok thanks. What about the guys? If I had the dresses brown and say I did the sash in a different color, what color would I make the guys’ vests and ties?

OWD: They can wear a brown vest and tie or in the other colors you choose. If they do not want to use a color such as pink or blue for their vests, they can add a flower boutonnière in a matching color.

Bride: Also if the girls are wearing brown dresses will it look goofy to have the guys in black tuxes?

OWD: Brown tuxes are hard to find but not impossible. You can also try to mix a black tux with brown vest. Many people do not like to mix brown and black, but there are some samples that look nice together.
